We are doing everything we can to keep food moving into the community, but I also want to be honest with everyone: we are short-handed this week and are working hard to resupply the pantry. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer delivery this week. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's understanding.
The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for so many of our neighbors. Families are still dealing with the aftermath of the storms, power outages, damaged homes, lost food, and all the stress that comes with trying to put life back together.
We may not be able to fix everything, but we can do something.
We can cook a meal.
We can share what we have.
We can fill a food box.
We can stand beside our neighbors.
And we can remind people that they are not forgotten.
As the owner of Old School Tile Company, I am blessed to be able to give a portion of every sale back to our community through Threads of Hope Unhoused Mission and the New Carlisle Community Food Pantry. Without the support of the people who choose to do business with me, I simply could not help as many people as I do.
And I certainly don't do this alone. I have some incredible volunteers who continue to give their time, energy, and hearts to help others. Together, we are trying to be a little light in some very difficult circumstances.
Most importantly, we are praying for our neighbors throughout LaPorte County and everyone who has been affected by the storm damage. We pray for those who have lost homes, belongings, food, power, or simply a sense of security. We pray for the families who are exhausted and trying to figure out what comes next.
Neighbors taking care of neighbors — that's what community is supposed to be.
With the love of God and Jesus Christ, we will continue to help where we can, feed whoever needs a meal, and remind people that they don't have to walk through hard times alone.
Come eat with us Saturday. ❤️ And if you need food before then, please come see us at the pantry.
Please share this post.
If you want to volunteer Saturday please come at 3:30, if you would like to help cook all that Mac n cheese please come to thr pantry this Thursday to pick up supplies.
Thanks Tommy
