Furniture Clear-Out!

I'm trying to clear out quite a bit of furniture before winter arrives, so I'll be listing several pieces that I'd love to find new homes for!

All items are pickup only in New Corydon, Indiana.
If you see something you're interested in, please feel free to comment! I'm happy to provide prices, measurements, additional photos, and any other details you might need.

I'd love to get as much of this furniture moved out as possible before the cold weather sets in!

In Loving Memory of The Cart

2012-ish – September 13, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the retirement of the best employee The Collected Cottage has ever had.

For 14 years, this cart showed up to work every single time it was asked. No complaints. No lunch breaks. No calling in sick. No asking for a raise. It worked weekends, holidays, early mornings, late nights, and more antique shows than any reasonable cart should ever have been subjected to.

It hauled dressers. Cabinets. Tables. Architectural salvage. Boxes upon boxes of things I absolutely needed to buy. It has been overloaded, abused, dragged through grass, gravel, mud and probably terrain it was never designed to encounter.

Today, after 14 years of loyal service, its weary body has finally said:
“Girl. Find somebody else.”

You were more than a furniture cart.
You were a coworker.
A business partner.
A member of the family.

Rest easy, old friend. 🕊️
You have carried your last ridiculously heavy piece of furniture.

Please respect our privacy during this difficult time as I now have to spend money on a new one. 😂

I am just a little bit in love with this one.

This beautiful old French wire plant stand is exactly the kind of piece that makes my heart skip a beat — wonderfully worn, perfectly imperfect, and somehow even prettier with age. I can already picture it overflowing with ferns, trailing ivy, or a collection of little terra cotta pots.

And yes… she’s coming with me to The Rural Society at Warwick Farm, October 2–3.

I’m gathering some of my very favorite pieces for this show, and if you’ve never been to Rural Society, THIS is the one to put on your calendar. The farm, the gardens, the glass houses, the peacocks, the vendors… it’s honestly as much of an experience as it is a shopping trip.

Now help me decide — would you fill this beauty with plants, or use it for something completely different? I want to hear your ideas!

I KNOW I said we weren’t doing any more shows this year besides Rural Society… but then a last-minute opportunity came along that was just too good to pass up.

So, surprise — The Collected Cottage WILL be at the Springfield Extravaganza after all! 🙈

A cancellation opened up a space and when they offered it to us, we couldn’t say no. So here we go again! 😂

One important change: We will NOT be in our usual space this time. You’ll find us on the END CAP FACING THE YOUTH CENTER BUILDING — with a bigger space and lots of room for us to bring a ridiculous amount of good stuff.

Since this all happened very last minute, we’re about to spend the next week in full-on chaos mode pulling together as much vintage, antique, architectural, furniture and collected goodness as we possibly can.

If you’re headed to Springfield, COME FIND US! 🤍

Apparently retirement from shows lasted approximately five minutes. 😂

✨ A little jewelry drop is LIVE! ✨

I’ve been collecting beautiful vintage jewelry pieces for quite a while, and lately I’ve also been having so much fun taking forgotten vintage bits and pieces and turning them into something completely new.

A whole collection has just been added to my Etsy shop — including vintage rhinestones, statement necklaces, unique pendants, old chains, and several one-of-a-kind pieces I created using vintage jewelry components.

I especially love the pieces that show their age a little — tarnished silver, worn gold, old rhinestones and all those tiny imperfections that give vintage jewelry so much character.

Everything pictured is available now in my Etsy shop, and many are one-of-a-kind, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Confession time 🌼➡️💀 Every fall I get way too excited about picking out mums for the porch… and every fall I somehow manage to send them to an early grave. 😂 But it’s tradition at this point, right?? Tell me I’m not the only one with a “mum graveyard” out front each year. 🙋‍♀️🍂
