Thank you to for awarding the Small Workplace Design award. At the core of this project was a curvilinear, gemlike conference room which serves as a meeting space but also as a sculptural focal point within the office. Its multifold door and multiple entrances promote circulation, allowing the space to open up during larger events. Adaptability allows the space to shift effortlessly between casual daily use and larger-scale events, reinforcing the multipurpose nature of the office in today’s world. 📸

Thank you Interior Design magazine for recognizing our work on The Kinkaid School as a Best of Year Finalist for Early Education. Together with StudioRED, we set out to create a timeless campus that fosters wellness, excellence, and entrepreneurship. Drawing on our expertise in hospitality and innovative workplaces, we elevated the educational experience to enhance engagement and prepare students for a world beyond the school. Our design of the lobby, student centers, alumni center, library, corridors, boardroom, administration, and café offers multiple modes of learning and gathering through adaptable furnishings. These spaces support a wide range of programs for the entire community, allowing the architecture itself to cultivate the creativity, adaptability, and agility essential for the next generation of leaders.

The Arc70 office reflects a hospitality-forward sensibility, blending lounge seating, café tables, and a bar-height communal table to accommodate diverse styles of work. With the client’s background in multifamily housing, comfort and a sense of welcome were top of mind. Residential cues are translated into the workplace through carefully considered details: planters are architecturalized into the environment to define pathways and soften transitions, while a palette of warm, neutral finishes grounds the design. Together, these elements establish a biophilic, human-centered space—one that promotes focus while also offering an uplifting sense of inspiration and calm.

Thrilled to share photos for a new office space for Arc70 in Burlingame, CA. At the core of the office is a curvilinear, gemlike conference room which serves not only as a meeting space but also as a sculptural focal point within the floor plan. Its sweeping form introduces a sense of energy and movement, while large multifold openings on both sides allow the room to transform—closing down for privacy or opening wide to create permeability into the adjacent coworking and café areas. This duality reinforces the idea of the workplace as an interconnected landscape, where circulation and flow support collaboration and community.

Our project for the Kinkaid School is especially meaningful for us: one of ACT’s founders grew up at Kinkaid and being invited back to shape the school’s future was an honor and a joy. We believe educational spaces must be hospitable and human-centered—places where students feel comfortable, inspired, and supported. Health and wellness for children are more important than ever, and our design places those values at the heart of the campus. Our design for The Kinkaid School shifts the focus from teacher-centered classrooms to student-driven environments, where the lobby, library, corridors, cafés, and gathering spaces foster creativity, collaboration, and wellness. We reimagined in-between spaces as places for discovery, weaving in niches, breakout areas, and fluid layouts that spark curiosity and connection. We also created spaces for the greater community of alumni and parents, whose involvement and support are critical to the life of the school.
