Working by the light of the laundromat...

When your washer is on the fritz again, and it's 1000 degrees in your house, you take your projects and head to the laundromat where it is blessedly quiet and cool outside.

Had to take a break from 24 minis work to have some fun with my heart of stone/ heart of flesh piece. O.b.s.e.s.s.e.d.

And in case you didn't get it, this is the back of the canvas lol... you can get the gist of it though.

Y'all, I'm not usually speechless but visiting my friends from The Novelty Collective at their The COVE Art Center yart sale and Brittany and Jordan gave me this. 😭 so thoughtful. You may remember i posted a digital image of this awhile back and talked about how much I loved it. They had one, so they passed out on to me as a blessing. What?! 🙏🙏🙏 What a blessing.

Come to Aluminum City Arts to visit artists in their natural habitat! Artists will be at work thriving the building. Bonus, the first annual car show is happening from 1-6!

To find out studio, come up the beautiful grand staircase, make a right, and we are all the way down the hall on the right.

Some more in-progress photos. I need to find 5 more abandoned houses to photograph. I have about 16 more canvases to embroider. And I still have to add the fixer upper sign, the red x sign, black walnut ink, gold paint, watercolor to the houses, and any final collage touches I want to all 24 pieces before I can seal the back, add the hanger and consider it done. 🫠🤪 but I'm having fun!

Getting there! Basic background collage is done. Primary grunging up with black walnut ink is done. A couple houses have been embroidered, and I've got the photos on for several more. 94 days left!
