Yesterday was the opening day for the 24 mini’s show at The Manos Gallery. Needless to say, the show was amazing and well attended. Our Collective had 4 artists represented in the show.

🔔🔔Wedding bells are ringing today for one of our Foundry members James Sabulsky of James Joseph Designs and Photography (IG: ) so we are wishing he and Melinda a fabulously wonderful and deliriously happy day! 🔔🔔

James is one of the OGs of the collective, meeting with Dave and Alyssa back in 2024 to see what crazy dreams could be had for the local art scene. Since then he has consistently promoted, pushed, nudged, encouraged, and outright dragged the collective forward. Always willing to do the hard work and ask the hard questions, James keeps our expectations of what we can achieve high and convinces us we can actually do it! That kind of inspiration is rare and we are really grateful for it!

Karen Shoop of Karen Alexandria Artistry (IG: ) is one of our newest Arts members and we are really enjoying getting to know her! She is part of our Events team, and is jumping in wherever she can. You will be able to enjoy her SUPER cute art in the upcoming 24 minis exhibit at The Manos Gallery as well as within our own gallery on the 2nd floor of City Arts !

David Howard of Uncle Dave's Art Studio (IG: and ), one of our Foundry members, is someone you will see here, there and everywhere! He is connected all over the place and is out there supporting artists and the creative expression of each person. Way back in 2024, he was one of the folks floating the idea of an artisans collective that was local to the New Kensington/Pittsburgh area. Through many conversations, he jumped into work with Alyssa and James to bring this vision to reality. Although he is a super busy guy, he has hosted our meetings, bought banners and art supplies, generated hundreds of ideas to grow the collective as well as handled the money for the first year of existence. His enthusiasm is one of his best qualities and we are so lucky to be part of that enthusiastic vision!

Javier J Roman of Roman Creatives (IG: ) is a well-known sight around town, drawing out the joy, connections, and life of New Kensington and the larger region. He brings a passion for authenticity to the collective, with a flair for the dramatic to keep pushing boundaries. And he reminds us all to never take ourselves too seriously. He is also a painter, adding an entirely unique expression of his take on the world. His artwork was recently featured on the cover of Amalgam, Alloy 13's quarterly art zine, as well as his photography in a recent exhibit at The Manos Gallery . If you know him, you know why we are blessed to have him in our collective!
