Crazy how it works at Banana Manor.
You come in and watch the “Rug Show” and fall in love over and over as we flip through the stacks. But then you see “the one”.

We take it out of the stack, fold it up, load it in your car and then hours later you send us a gorgeous pic of it in the room where it was meant to be.

So FUN. So Simple.

If you are out of state, same process but you shop them on the website and we can facetime with you to get to know a rug better. Then we ship it to you for FREE. If it isn’t perfect in the space then we keep going until you officially have “the one”.

We had to create an ad for New Orleans Home Magazine to thank everyone for voting us the Best Rug Store.

I told our Graphic Designer to use a picture of Freddie Mercury and do a “We are the Champions” theme ad. And then he sends this. Me as Freddie Mercury.

I just told the crew I love surrounding myself with creative talented people that are able to elevate good ideas into really good ideas.

We get it, not everyone feels comfortable in some stuffy, sterile, showroom.

Hell, we don’t.

That’s why we went a different direction, with a focus on fun and good times.

When you come by, we’ll greet you as you walk in, offer you an ice cold beverage of your choice, and give you a personalized guided tour of our selection.

Rug Shopping should be fun! There’s nothing more exciting than finding that absolutely perfect piece that makes your home sing and brings everything together.

Rug shopping shouldn’t be tense and uncomfortable, with some salesman in a shiny suit talking you into what he wants you to buy.

It should be fun and exciting, with you knowing that YOU picked the rug that’s right for YOU.

Introducing “Oushak Breakdancing” by Banana Manor.
No…We are Not Your Typical Rug Biz.

I met Gustavo the Breakdancer at the Monday night roller skating event on the river at the Crescent Park Pavillon. New Orleans Skate School
He performs next to the DJ and roller skaters are everywhere. It is definitely a vibe.

I went home that night and had one of my “really good bad ideas”. To create Oushak Breakdancing with him..and here we are;)
