Congratulations to Angela Morton and her husband, Sean!

It was such a joy to witness one of our own get married this weekend in one of the most beautiful settings in New Orleans. The reception was held inside the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park, where guests were surrounded by the beauty of nature while celebrating their special day.

Wishing them a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and wonderful memories together.

Completed at the end of 2024, we relocated Burns Charest to their new office at Place St. Charles, delivering a bold, modern transformation.
Sustainability was a major focus — we salvaged and reused doors, aluminum frames, and glass storefront systems from the previous tenant. The existing warm wood tone (which extended into the elevator lobby) was intentionally embraced, and the lobby was renovated to create a clean, cohesive flow throughout. The new space features an expanded reception area and a collaborative Executive Lounge with mixed seating, high-top island, and built-in coffee bar.
The client was so pleased — and confident in their ability to recruit additional attorneys — that they expanded to a full-floor tenant, completing Phase 2 at the end of 2025. 📸 Kelly Taylor-NOLA Real Estate Marketing

Our landscape architecture team recently completed the transformation of the outdoor play space at Audubon Charter School Uptown Upper School Campus. Working closely with school leadership, we developed a comprehensive design that maximizes the functionality and enjoyment of their play yard.
The revitalized space features a new artificial turf field, a dedicated stage and performance area, and a multi-use basketball court equipped with volleyball sleeves. Students now have access to modern play and exercise equipment and a variety of intimate seating and gathering areas, all integrated seamlessly within the landscape. Two large shade structures provide much needed respite from the days sun. The result is a dynamic, engaging environment that supports active play, creative expression, and meaningful community interaction—tailored to the needs of Audubon’s students and educators.

Just a few years shy of Holy Name of Jesus School's 100th anniversary, a significant new addition is taking shape. Established in 1891, Holy Name of Jesus has been educating elementary students for over a century, opening its doors on its current campus in 1932. In 2026, the campus will expand to include a state-of-the-art gymnasium with a running track, ten new classrooms for students from six weeks to three years old, and dedicated art and music rooms. The new structure will seamlessly connect to the historic Neo-Gothic school via a delicate glass connector, featuring a central staircase and elevator to enhance accessibility to both the gym and the school's existing auditorium. Since 2019, Mathes Brierre Architects has collaborated with HNJ on long-term facilities planning and an expansion master plan. Several phased projects have been undertaken to accommodate the Little Gators on campus and clear the way for the new addition—all while carefully working around the active school environment. We are thrilled for the school and parish community to see this highly anticipated expansion, which will include its first indoor sports facility and increased capacity for our youngest Gators—fueling the next century of growth and success at HNJ!

Recently there was a topping out ceremony for the placement of the last beam at the highest part of the new building. Ryan Gootee General Contractors, L.L.C. took some amazing drone footage of the progress. Our very own Angela Morton, Joyce Bergman and Lindsey Bean were on hand to celebrate the occasion.
