Greetings, New Orleans. Beginning in January of 2015, I will be leading a Q***r & Trans* yoga class on Friday evenings at Epic Yoga from 6-7:15pm. While straight allies are welcome, this class is intended to be a safe space for Q***r folks, Trans* folks, gender deviants, and anyone who walks in to a yoga studio or gym and immediately feels like they don't belong. Classes are sliding scale, $5-$15, please don't let not being able to pay for yoga keep you from coming. Your presence alone is valuable and more than enough. The class is designed for all levels, with a strong focus on beginners. We will also discuss the practice of yoga and how we can embrace it mindfully from a decolonization perspective. It's gonna be great. Hope to see you there.
