We are obsessed with it! See this lovely repost and come see us if you want to see it and feel it in person. We have Moiré wallpaper from Dedar, Armani Casa, York and Elites. All Stunning.

Backstory:

Derived from the French moirer, meaning “to produce a watered textile,” moiré is known for its rippling, water-like pattern and luminous sheen.

Traditionally created by pressing fabric under heated rollers, moiré became popular in the Middle Ages, flourished in the 17th and 18th centuries used for gowns, embellishments & applied to walls.

We love our natural wallpaper that serves not only to dress walls but also as window treatments beautifully executed by Sarah Allee-Walsh in the design of this historic New Orleans home.

Paper details:
Traditional Japanese paper making techniques are combined with contemporary earth-conscious materials to create this handmade art paper roll. Each double-sided roll is made of recycled materials such as pineapple and banana fiber, cardboard, newspaper, sawdust, and fast-growing sustainable resources such as jute, grasses, and mulberry.
