UPDATE: After some phone calls, the Village negotiated a workaround. Our sidewalk project is pushed off until May 11. There WILL be a mess for at least 2-3 days and about 30 minutes where there is no access to the shop but otherwise there will be a bridge to get in & out. Thank you to the Village Administrator and the Mayor who got this squared away so quickly today to help us keep acces for these two important weekends (Prom & Momma's Day)!
We were just informed they are tearing up the sidewalk immediately outside our shop, today.
If I had not arrived to the shop early, this would've happened without my knowledge. No one communicated this from the Village prior to the foreman coming to tell me they were doing it.
I think we came up with an alternative plan to hold off on the MAJOR part of the demo at least until Tuesday & Wednesday next week or potentially until AFTER Mother's Day but I don't want people thinking I am closed because of this work.
WE ARE OPEN. Please don't let the construction mislead you. Myself and so many other small businesses in the Village NEED your support during this construction. We have all suffered setbacks in our businesses because of Liberty Landing work and are grateful for each one of you that is putting up with it to support us!
