The red-winged blackbird was the first to test the Holiday Donut Stacker. The Birdfy camera caught the moment of decision….

I REALLY love two things about this video:

1. The beautiful color of this male red-winged blackbird. What a beauty!

2. The clear and crisp picture on this Birdfy camera. Oh, I have PLANS for this camera; you’ll see!

Today I am testing a “Holiday Donut Stacker” AND the new Birdfy VIdeo House.

Here’s the backstory:

Yesterday I got a message asking about our Donut Stackers. The potential customer was interested in our stackers but was curious how they would hold up with a ribbon tied through the hole.

Well, let’s find out!

So, Jules has a literal “Wall of Ribbon, and she tied a beautiful red velvet ribbon around the stacker.

I hung it in the backyard last evening, but I took it in before the hungry raccoon came out to play last night.

I decided to put the holiday ribbon stacker on a hook and film the test with my new Bidfy camera inside the “Video House” I built.

Let’s see what happens and how the Holiday Ribbon Stacker holds up.

One of the things that has helped me heal after the death of my oldest son was connecting to Nature, especially by feeding the birds. There were dark days after he crossed where all I could do was fill the feeders, sit on the deck and watch the birds.

After seeing the terrible seed and suet offered in the stores, I decided to give our little friends something better: home crafted seed and suet products.

I started making seed and suet cakes and cylinders of all shapes and sizes. I provide birds a power granola bar without using any of the typical cheap fillers like corn and millet.

It wasn’t long before customers asked for feeders and birdhouses. I started working with pine, cedar, paint and stain. It has been so much fun learning, doing and growing.

A year later, here I am at the local farmers market and with my own Etsy shop.

Providing excellent food and habitat has taught me so much about our bird friends, and it has connected me to the land and water spirits here as well.

Amazing what happens when you move your birdfeeder is to the RIGHT spot.

The birds show up almost immediately.

✔️First up: a red-winged blackbird!
✔️Second up: a chickadee
✔️Third up: Queen Priscilla, a female cardinal

Priscilla has been angry that I am moving feeders around, so hopefully this pleases the Queen.

We shall see!
