Where to begin....
Stand up for yourself and for those you love. We're all in this together, and if one of us sides with the oppressor, we all lose.
The Progress Pride Flag, designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018, adds a chevron to the classic rainbow flag. It incorporates five half-sized stripes (pink, white, light blue, brown, and black) to specifically represent transgender individuals, marginalized communities of color, and those lost to or living with HIV/AIDS.
It is with great pride that we release a suite of ten marbled prints in the colors of this flag, for which we have fought so hard and continue to fight.
I think of the children, I think of the parents, I think of those that are closeted, or afraid, or in transition, and I think of all of the bigotry and hate in the world that spreads like a cancer, and I believe it can and will be stopped. The side effects of homophobia and racism pe*****te deep into our subconscious, and the only way out is to confront and dismantle both systems of oppression, the visible and the invisible parts, as honestly and openly as humanly possible.
For me, that's what pride is all about.
