Good day, my community,
So, we made it through another week of volatility globally. Big hug to all my finance and investment people on the Street and my foreign sisters and brothers. Given the current state of affairs, it feels like we are on a consummate roller coaster ride of hopeful ups and subsequent downs.
To that, I say, take a pause. Breathe. You did the following:
- You survived a pandemic (it wasn't easy even if you did well)
- You survived pivoting to working from home, then hybrid, and now full-time (the uncertainty is disruptive)
- You survived having to restructure your life and businesses multiple times (I know this all too well)
- You survived having to work with less and do exponentially more (this is still ongoing)
- You survived being a homemaker and worker (signaling to all you women out there doing both)
- You survived having to care for loved ones unexpectedly (respect for taking care of the ones you love)
- You survived the painful loss of loved ones and are learning how to move on (deepest love to everyone in this situation)
- You survived hurricanes, fires, droughts, and other climate-related impacts (well wishes to everyone currently impacted by hurricane Ian)
- You survived realizing we are NEVER going back to 2019
Change is hard. Uncertainty is hard. Challenges are hard. However, you discover what you are made of in these challenging moments. What you can achieve. How you WILL evolve, and you have. We all have.
This is an opportunity, my fellow Tellurians. WE ALL survived so much, and we are stronger, wiser, and more appreciative of the beautiful life we are gifted with because of it.
Hang in there. Keep growing and give thanks for the fantastic elements and people you have in your life. Because you do if you look around. Sometimes in life, things must be dismantled to build and raise something better.
There is power in community and shared experiences. We don't need to hide; we need to support one another. I invite you to express your feelings in the comments.
Enjoy your weekend. The future is bright so long as you have hope and remember these truths.
Warm regards,
Jackie
