One and all - please allow me to introduce “Gabrielle” (Gab). The desk was a custom design piece for our return friend, Rachel . Rachel had first contacted me a year ago to design a dresser for her. She wanted to incorporate some personally meaningful artwork by the Art Nouveau painter, illustrator, and graphic artist, Alphonse Mucha, as well as capture the spirit of Loie Fuller, a pioneer of modern dance. She also wanted it to be a piece that would be transitional in any décor, so “Loie” was born (or reborn)! Rachel was so happy with her dresser that when she needed a desk a few months later, she came back to us to create Gab to match. Rachel now has a perfect set, a pair that were always truly meant for one another. And we were lucky enough to be able to compliment, if not outshine (with three pours of resin) Loie.
