Recently I came across these beautiful tomatoes that looked similar to habanero peppers. I decided to make a tomato sauce for some pasta and they taste really sweet and delicious once I cooked them. I still don’t know the name of these tomatoes but I’ve been seeing them around in my local groceries and Chinatown as well.

For Bengali new year, I was craving some Vapa Puli Pitha. The wrapper is made with rice flour which gives it similar texture as mochi then filled with caramelized coconut. We freeze big batch whenever we make them. We steam this pitha or deep fry but my favorite way is steaming.
I’m playing this Bangladeshi film name “Daruchini Dwip” this movie is based on a novel written by my favorite writer Humayun Ahmed! Growing up I loved reading his books and I would often fantasize about riding train from city to city while listening to the shaky thunk thunk sound of the train
