In our Southampton project, the living room’s focal point is the couch. A bold floral fabric that plays beautifully against the vintage steamer trunk, woven shades, and sun-washed windows.

3) The Pangolin Shield — Atelier One. A bamboo frame, clad in traditional police shields and rain shields from India, exploring questions of protection and oppression, materiality and craft.
4) PROGRESSIVE PERMANENCE — A collaboration between Christopher Farr and bold textiles and sculptural furniture together.
5) One Tool, One Stool — RCA Design Products investigates what happens when design is reduced to an absolute minimum of means: one tool and one material to create a functional seat.

In the dining room of this Upper East Side townhouse, an Angelo Mangiarotti table is surrounded by classic Pierre Jeanneret Studio chairs, while a Gio Ponti Archives for Venini chandelier casts a sculptural glow overhead. A Tomie Ohtake painting and an octagonal Murano glass mirror set the tone on the walls.

Yayoi Kusama (1929 - 2026)

A singular force in contemporary art, Yayoi Kusama created a world of repetition, reflection, color, and infinite possibility. Her work invited audiences to see beyond the limits of the everyday.

Across a career that defied convention, deeply personal visions became an artistic language recognized around the world. Her polka dots, pumpkins, mirrored rooms, and immersive environments remain enduring symbols of an imagination without boundaries. Her influence is immeasurable and will continue to inspire generations to come.

“Every time I have had a problem, I have confronted it with the ax of art.”
