Heavenly Chicken and Mushroom Pasta with a Silky Cream Sauce πππ
This creamy, comforting dish is the perfect balance of tender chicken, savory mushrooms, and silky pasta, all smothered in a luscious cream sauce. It's a sure way to make any night feel special!
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
π Chicken breasts: 2 boneless, skinless
π§ Salt: to taste

π§΄ Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
For the Pasta:
π Penne pasta: 8 oz
π§ Water: for boiling
π§ Salt: for the pasta water
For the Cream Sauce:

Onion: 1 small, finely chopped
π§ Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
π Mushrooms: 2 cups, sliced
π₯ Heavy cream: 1 cup
π§΄ Chicken broth: Β½ cup
π§ Parmesan cheese: Β½ cup, grated
πΏ Fresh parsley: for garnish
Method:
π Start by boiling the pasta in salted water according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
π Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
π§΄ Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 165Β°F). Remove and set aside.
π§ In the same skillet, add the butter. Once melted, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
π§ Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sautΓ© until the mushrooms release their moisture and become golden brown, about 5 minutes.
π₯ Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
