Part two of our story feels different this time of year. After 9/11, New Yorkers really needed something they could connect with and take pride in, and that was us.

25 years ago, we kept our doors open for anyone walking up broadway, covered in soot, who needed a safe place to wash up. We sat here, huddled together, waiting for news of my dad and son who lived and went to school at the base of the towers.

A complete coincidence, at the time we had our skyline dishes, which prominently featured the Twin Towers, in our window display. Our registers weren’t open, but people were rushing in to buy our dishes thinking they would be discontinued. The irony of this pattern saving our failing business is not lost on us.

People are still surprised to see the Twin Towers on our dishes, but we’ll never change the first pattern we ever made. We even made some room for the World Trade Center in the years to come.

Never forget. That's why we never changed our Skyline pattern. We did make room for one more landmark years later...❤️
