John "JP" Patrick is an American interior designer and real estate stylist and stager. He was born in rural South Carolina, and spent his adolescence in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A graduate of Notre Dame High School, and the Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers, he began his design career in 2003 after many years in the garment industry. He runs his New York based design consulting firm, Life By
Design, which specializes in residential interiors and small space transformations. JP is currently working on several projects in conjunction with real estate developers, rea estate brokers and a new design television network. Patrick has received much recognition for his volunteer design work at the New York Foundling Hospital and the Personal Dynamics Adult Learning Center. JP's design style draws influence from Jonathan Adler, Milo Baughman, Ray and Charles Eames, Saarinen, Sister Parrish, Dorothy Parker, and Jaime Drake. His favorite artists are Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jackson Pollack, and Lichtenstein. "I never met an abstract painting that I didn't like!" JP
