Many visitors come to New York for business and pleasure, so I designed this room to do both. The long, sleek table doubles as a workspace, and the comfortable seating invites socializing or networking with ease. ⁠

Our favorite piece: a sculptural desk with wood legs, intended to ground the space in Boston tradition. The artwork and lighting bring in a bit of the cosmopolitan whimsy we intentionally carried throughout the hotel, giving a solid foundation an invigorated spirit.⁠

Ciao! 🇮🇹 This week’s AJC Design Team spotlight features copywriter Ellen’s Italian adventure. From Positano’s bright cliffside buildings to a breezy boat ride to Capri and strolls through Rome’s lively, art-filled streets—the trip delivered one postcard moment after another. ✨⁠

A favorite architectural moment was a stop at the Vittoriano—the "wedding cake" monument—known for its impressive white marble and tiered design. Plus, an unforgettable visit to St. Peter's Basilica while the Pope was there! ⁠

For their guestroom, I wanted to honor the community’s love of tradition and culture while keeping its youthful, energetic spirit. To do this, my team at AJC Design blended modern, luxe comfort with vintage touches - creating a space that feels welcoming, cozy, and perfect for gathering and celebration. ⁠
