Built in 1860, this four story townhouse is located on a charming tree lined street in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, DC. The clients wanted us to create an environment that was comfortable and inviting but also one where they could entertain and display the grandeur of their beautiful historical home.
Utilizing a neutral color palette as the foundation, we incorporated darker hues of saturated colors to bring a historical richness to the space. Classical furniture pieces mixed with modern custom designed furniture and the client's modern art collection, created an interior with an eclectic balance of old and new.
No longer are there horse drawn carriages passing by this 19th century residence but through our design approach, we were able to preserve the historical beauty of the home while adding a touch of modernization to its interiors.
