유치원생들에게 자신이 앞으로 살아보고 싶은 꿈의 집을 그려보라 스케치북을 건네주었을 때, 많은 아이들은 대부분 넓은 마당 한가운데에 직육면체의 집과 그 위로 책을 펼쳐서 엎어 놓은 듯한 박공 지붕을 그리는 경우를 많이 볼 수 있다. 그리고 또 하나 빠지지 않는 것이 바로 ‘창(窓)’이다. 어린 아이들에게도 공간의 중요한 요소 중 하나로 인식되는 ‘창’은 ‘공간적 장치’로서 인간의 심리에 많은 영향을 끼치고 있다.
