Saffron is one of those ingredients I reach for when I want to make something special.

I especially love using it in seafood stew—it adds this golden warmth that’s both delicate and bold, like it knows its power but doesn’t need to shout.

I usually pick up saffron at or , two of my favorite spots in the city for spices that tell stories. Recently I got a sample from while at the Fancy Food Show.

And for the seafood, I head to

This dish isn’t just a recipe. It’s a ritual. It’s a reminder that some flavors are worth lingering over.

POV: You’re at a prosciutto tasting at Eataly NYC 🥂—savoring silky ribbons of Prosciutto di Carpegna 🇮🇹, aged over 13 months in the Marche region of Italy. The kind of flavor that lingers… delicate, complex, and unforgettable.

I enjoyed watching, tasting, and savoring the prosciutto paired with aged cheeses, bread, and just the right touch of fruit. A true taste of Italy, right in the heart of New York City.

This DOP-certified prosciutto is the real deal—and such a beautiful reminder of how food connects us to place, history, and craft.

Our Story

Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a deep sense of wanderlust.

I couldn’t wait to get on a plane and see the world—and taste the food of different cultures.

My first trip was to Japan where I slurped noodles in Tokyo, dined on shabu shabu on a river in Kyoto, and sipped green tea during a traditional tea ceremony.

It was only natural for me to use my journalism degree to write about my food and travel experiences.
