🧁 HYBRID VANILLA CAKE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
• 220g butter, room temperature
• 176g neutral oil
• 440g granulated sugar
• 12 large egg yolks
• 2 tbsp vanilla extract
• 480g cake flour
• 2 tbsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 404ml whole milk or buttermilk
• 6 large egg whites
INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣ Cream butter for10 minutes and add oil.
2️⃣ Gradually add sugar and cream until light and fluffy.
3️⃣ Add egg yolks one at a time. Mix well after each addition. Add vanilla extract.
4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
5️⃣ Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk or buttermilk and vanilla extract to the batter, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
6️⃣ Whip egg whites to stiff peaks.
7️⃣ Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the batter using a spatula.
8️⃣ Divide into prepared cake pans.
9️⃣ Bake at 340°F (170°C) for approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on pan size, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
