Little Devil Bars 🍫♥️

Only 4 ingredients and so easy to make!

Recipe From: ’s Cookin 💛🍳

Ingredients

• 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
• 1 stick butter, melted
• ¾ cup peanut butter
• 1 (7 oz.) container marshmallow fluff

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Slowly mix the cake mix and melted butter until crumbly.
3. Set aside ½ cup of the mixture.
4. Press the rest into an ungreased 9x13-inch pan.
5. Mix the peanut butter and marshmallow fluff together. Microwave for 10 seconds to make it easier to stir.
6. Spread over the crust.
7. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top and lightly pat it down.
8. Bake for 20 minutes.
9. Let cool completely before cutting into bars. (Chill in the fridge for easier slicing, if you’d like.)

My Mystery Strawberry Bake 🍓
(I don’t have a name for it yet - help me name it for my cookbook) 👀

Ingredients:
• 2 ½ cups Martha White self-rising flour
• 2% milk (add as needed)
• Vegetable oil (a splash, or use melted vegetable shortening)
• 2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling (save ½ can for topping)
•!Cooking spray

Icing:
• 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
• A little 2% milk (add slowly until right consistency)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Add flour to a bowl and make a well in the center.
3. Pour in a little 2% milk, then add a splash of vegetable oil (or melted shortening).
4. Stir and continue adding milk until dough reaches the right consistency.
5. Spray your baking pan and pour half of the biscuit mixture into the bottom.
6. Spread 1 ½ cans of strawberry pie filling over the dough (save ½ can for topping).
7. Spread the remaining biscuit mixture on top of the strawberries.
8. Spread the remaining ½ can of strawberry pie filling over the very top.
9. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden (oven times may vary).
10. While baking, make the icing: mix together confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
11. Once the bake is done, let it cool slightly, then drizzle icing over the top.

My Homemade Chili 🥣🍂

Ingredients
• 2 ½ lbs. ground beef
• 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
• 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, undrained
• 2 (14 oz.) cans petite diced tomatoes
• 2 onions, chopped
• 1 bell pepper, chopped
• 2 tbsp chili powder (or to taste)
• 1 pkg chili seasoning mix
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp sugar

Instructions
1. In a large cooker, brown ground beef, onions, and bell pepper. Drain excess fat.
2. Add beans, tomatoes, chili powder, seasoning mix, water, and sugar. Stir well.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Taste and adjust chili powder if desired.
5. Serve and enjoy!

Chili & Weenies 🫘🌭

Ingredients

• 2 packs weenies (16 total), sliced
• 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 can chili beans, undrained
• 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
• 1 can tomato sauce
• 1/2 onion, diced
• 2 tablespoons chili powder
• 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
• Garlic powder, to taste
• Onion powder, to taste

Instructions

1. Add the weenies, kidney beans, chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and diced onion to a large pot.
2. Add the chili powder, cocoa powder, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well.
3. Cook over medium-high heat until it begins to simmer.
4. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover with a lid.
5. Let simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Serve warm with corn chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream. You can also serve it on a hot dog bun topped with coleslaw.

My Vegetable Soup 🥣🍂

Ingredients:
• 8-9 small/medium garden potatoes, cubed
• Water (enough to cover potatoes)
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 can peas, drained
• 1 can green beans, drained
• 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
• 1 can sliced carrots, drained
• 1 can petite diced tomatoes
• Salt & Pepper (to taste)
• 23 oz tomato juice (add more if needed)
• 1/4 cabbage head, chopped
• 1 cup elbow macaroni noodles (optional)
• 2 pounds hamburger meat, browned

Instructions:

1. Place cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
2. Add chopped onion, the drained peas, green beans, corn, carrots, diced tomatoes, chopped cabbage, and elbow macaroni (optional)
3. Stir
4. Season with salt & pepper and pour in the tomato juice. Stir well.
5. Let it cook for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
6. Brown the hamburger meat and add it to the pot. Stir to combine.
7. Serve hot.

My Mommy’s Pumpkin Bread 🎃🍞

• 3 Cups Flour (self rising)
• 1 tsp. Nutmeg
• 1 tsp. Cinnamon
• 3 Cups Sugar
• 1 Cup Oil
• 1 Cup Pure Pumpkin
• ¾ Cup Water
• 4 Eggs

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Mix together flour, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
3. Beat eggs, add oil, pumpkin and water.
4. Add egg mixture to dry mixture, stir until well combined.
5. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until done.
7. Serve and enjoy.

My Pone Bread 🍞

• 2 Cups Flour (self rising)
• 1 Heaping tbsp. Shortening (melted)
• 1 ½ Cups Milk (or Buttermilk)
• Add Water (to desired consistency)

1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. Stir all ingredients together.
3. Pour into a greased skillet or pan.
4. Bake for 20 minutes, broil until top is golden brown

Apple Cobbler Crisp (CROBBLER)
As seen on Food Network 🍎🥧

Ingredients:

For the Apples:
• 7-8 Granny Smith or Gala apples (peeled and sliced)
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ½ stick butter
• A little water (just enough to help the apples simmer)

For the Cobbler Batter:
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 1 cup milk

For the Crisp Topping:
• 1½ cups brown sugar
• 1 cup quick oats
• ½ stick softened butter

Instructions:

Prepare the Apples:
1. Peel and slice apples.
2. Place them in a medium saucepan with a splash of water (not too much-you won’t drain this).
3. Add ¾ cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and ½ stick butter.
4. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Pour the apple mixture into a 9x13 baking dish.

Make the Cobbler Batter:
1. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup self-rising flour.
2. Stir until smooth and well combined.
3. Slowly pour this batter evenly over the apples in the baking dish. Do not stir.

Add the Crisp Topping:
1. In a separate bowl, mix 1½ cups brown sugar, 1 cup quick oats, and ½ stick softened butter until crumbly.
2. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter.

Bake:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Serve:
Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Optional: sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top

We can’t believe today marks ONE YEAR since our episode of Family Recipe Showdown aired!

We had such an amazing experience filming with Food Network, but we realized we’ve never shared most of the behind-the-scenes stories with y’all. So we asked if you had any questions, and now we’re here to answer them!

From what it was like filming with Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer to cooking for Al Roker, Leila Roker, and Chef Dook Chase, we’re sharing the moments you didn’t get to see on TV.

Easy One-Dish Dinner (Poor Man’s Dinner) 🥘

Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 bag frozen vegetables (any kind)
• 1 (28 oz) can pork and beans
• V8 juice (enough to reach desired consistency)

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Drain excess grease.
2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Microwave the frozen vegetables according to package instructions.
4. Stir the pork and beans into the cooked beef. Drain some juice if the beans are too watery.
5. Add the cooked vegetables.
6. Pour in V8 juice gradually until the mixture reaches your desired consistency.
7. Bring to a gentle bubble, then cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Serve warm and enjoy!
