Kings Hawaiian Cinnamon Rolls 🥐
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 packets (4 1/2 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup water, warmed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt together.
3. In another bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, and melted butter.
4. Add the eggs to the wet mixture and mix well.
5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
6. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
7. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a cloth. Let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
8. Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread the softened butter on top.
9. Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together and spread it over the butter.
10. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into slices.
11. Place the slices in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
12. Bake for 25-30 minutes until they are golden.
13. While they bake, mix the powdered sugar and milk together to make icing.
14. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls after they come out of the oven.
15. Serve warm and enjoy!"
