So everyone has been asking me, “Hey, why aren’t you around at anymore?” Well, here’s why...
Six months ago, I took the opportunity to lead a project as a consultant and executive chef in the North Fork for one of the most admirable people I’ve ever met. It was a huge challenge, but if you know me, that’s what keeps my heart beating.
I took on a lot, not gonna lie. It wasn’t easy. It meant moving away my home, leave the city and working long days juggling three jobs: managing .nyc, directing Super Chori, and consulting on here. The days were long, and the nights were even longer.
Meanwhile, my little family held me down through it all. As always, none of this could have happened without the strong woman I’m lucky to have as the mother of my son and my partner for life, understanding, supporting, waiting, and believing in me every step of the way.
But all the effort and all the stress faded when we saw the results: a 1945 deli transformed into a new place to bring the North Fork community together, featuring a full gelato, coffee, breakfast, lunch, and takeout program curated and designed by me.

This is just the beginning. There’s still a lot to perfect, but we’re here.
