This season’s palette landed on the most gorgeous blue, made to pair perfectly with East Fork’s new colors, Nocturne and Bittersweet. Every print starts as paint on paper, by hand, before it ever becomes fabric—that’s still our favorite part.
Every season starts the same way: a moodboard.
East Fork shares imagery evocative of the mood they’re after — I love this part of the process, getting a sneak peek into their creative team’s thinking and what’s inspiring them.
Then I start painting — experimenting with different shapes and concepts.
We wanted something that felt fresh from past collections but true to the Goldie Home x East Fork
world we’ve built together
The paintings led me to an abstract geometric design which I think is so cool and unexpected.
Then, color. This season’s palette is a gorgeous blue. We wanted to bring in other colors, but in the end, decided the blue was so beautiful it deserved its own print. It pairs perfectly with our new East Fork Pottery’s new colors: Nocturne and Bittersweet.
My favorite — and most challenging — part of the process is the repeat. Designing a new watercolor pattern to work seamlessly across a napkin, a runner, and a tablecloth is always a puzzle.
