NEW YORK INTERIOR DESIGN, Inc.

NEW YORK INTERIOR DESIGN, Inc. Evelyn is known for a high-end, cutting edge approach to design. She skillfully and tastefully transforms interiors to inspire and improve lives.

Evelyn Benatar founded New York Interior Design in 1998 with one simple goal in mind: to transform people’s lives by enhancing their interiors. Though her taste is cutting edge it is marked by aesthetic endurance. She creates balanced interiors that are equal parts form and function with her modern silhouettes that are brought to life by her use of vintage accents and avant-garde elements. Her philosophy of “understated luxury” is further achieved through layers of rich color, organic shapes and cleverly developed lighting. Her designs are exuberant yet always have a way of transcending the trends. With an emphasis on collaboration, Evelyn is able to realize the vision of her clients; her lasting professional relationships are owed to a blend of skillful design, communication, and trust. Evelyn has the unique ability to really and truly connect with her clients and give each and every one of them the personal attention they deserve. Her confident yet warm and inviting personality plays a major role into her vast success as a designer.

This dining room began with a vision: to create a space that feels intimate for everyday living yet effortlessly expands for entertaining. Through thoughtful planning, custom detailing, layered textures, and carefully curated furnishings, we transformed this room into the heart of the home.

One of our favorite features? The dining table opens to comfortably seat 12 guests—proving that beautiful design and practical living can go hand in hand.

A space designed for gathering, celebrating, and making memories.

Some projects stay with you long after they are complete.

This Tribeca residence was shaped by more than aesthetics—it was guided by a remarkable family story and a shared vision for creating a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal. The living room, shown here, was conceived as a place for connection, conversation, and everyday moments, balancing quiet sophistication with warmth and comfort.

We are honored to see this project featured in New York Cottages & Gardens and grateful to our clients for entrusting us with the opportunity to bring their vision to life.

Photography, craftsmanship, and collaboration came together beautifully in this home, and we are proud to share a glimpse of it here.
