Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into strips

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Season steak strips with salt and black pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear steak strips for 2–3 minutes per side until browned, then remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce thickens.

Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter sauce.

Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and fresh parsley.

Serve hot with mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread.

Ingredients

2 cups cold mashed potatoes

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

1 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

Meat Filling

1/2 lb ground beef or chicken

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, minced

1/4 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned.

Add onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook until onion is soft. Set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, flour, egg, salt, pepper, and parsley until a dough forms.

Divide potato mixture into equal balls and flatten each into a patty.

Place 1–2 teaspoons of meat filling in the center of half the patties.

Top with the remaining patties and pinch edges to seal.

Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Fry each pancake for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1 box (about 15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the dish.

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon cinnamon and the nutmeg over the apple filling.

Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the spiced apple filling.

Drizzle melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix, covering as much as possible.

In a small bowl, mix sugar and remaining cinnamon, then sprinkle on top.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.

Let cool slightly before serving. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium baking dish.

In a bowl, mix chopped rhubarb, brown sugar, and lemon juice, then spread evenly in the baking dish.

In another bowl, whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until well blended.

Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, stirring just until combined.

Pour the batter over the rhubarb layer and spread evenly.

Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Ingredients:

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 medium zucchinis, sliced into half-moons

2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp chili powder (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

¼ cup beef broth or water

Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions:

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add ground beef, cook breaking it up until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if desired.

Stir in diced onion and sauté for 3 minutes until softened.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Push beef mixture to one side of skillet; add remaining oil and diced sweet potatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.

Mix sweet potatoes into beef, then sprinkle cumin, paprika, oregano, chili powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir to coat.

Pour in beef broth or water, cover skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 8 minutes until sweet potatoes begin to soften.

Coconut Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¾ cup shredded sweetened coconut

½ cup toffee bits

¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in egg and vanilla until well combined.

Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt just until blended.

Fold in coconut, toffee bits, and chocolate chips.

Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake for 25–28 minutes or until golden and set in the center.

Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
