Christmas Butter Cookies 😋🎄
✅Ingredients:✅
☑️ 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour 🥣
☑️ 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈
☑️ ¾ cup granulated sugar 🍚
☑️ ½ cup powdered sugar 🍬
☑️ 1 tsp vanilla extract 🍦
☑️ 1 egg yolk 🥚
☑️ ½ tsp salt 🧂
☑️ ½ tsp baking powder 🥄
☑️ Sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration 🎉
📝Directions:📝
1️⃣ In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. 🥄
2️⃣ Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. 🍰
3️⃣ In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. 💪
4️⃣ Divide the dough into two parts, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. ❄️
5️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 🌡️
6️⃣ Roll out one portion of chilled dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. 🍪
7️⃣ Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 🍽️
8️⃣ Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles if desired. 🎊
9️⃣ Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. ⏱️
