I need more help with our new house! My husband and I made the mistake of approving cabinets without truly understanding where they were and how far apart it would make the sinks from each other in the master bath. What would you do with that middle section? The mirrors aren’t installed yet, but they are circles with a wood trim, custom made by a crafter on the Tedooo app (which is also where we found this stunning color recommendation). I couldn’t be ok with making the mirrors and lights off center from the sinks, so this will leave a giant gap between them.

Which kitchen backsplash looks best? ✨🏡

I’m having such a hard time choosing because they all give the kitchen a different feel. The white cabinets and gold hardware already look so clean, so I want something that adds style without making the space feel too busy.

Option 1 feels soft and elegant, 2 is classic, 3 adds a pretty pop of color, 4 has more pattern, and 5 keeps everything simple and bright.

I'm remodeling my house. I'm confused about what to do with this small dining room. I was thinking of an accent wall, molding, or something to set it apart. I'm also changing all the flooring throughout to wood-like tile. Everything will be lighter with gold accents. Ideas?

I wrote about my Sherwin Williams Iron Ore doors a few weeks ago.

In brief, the painter painted the doors and the white immediately broke though. Thanks to some good advice I got here, I called the Sherwin Williams store and their rep came out and met with us.

I asked that the doors be redone. However, the SW rep recommended the painter, who is a big client of Sherwin Williams, should:
1. Resand
2. Spot prime (I wanted everything redone)
3. Repaint with Iron Ore.

The SW rep also said that my doors were 'not that bad' as he has seen paint fall off entire walls in the Chicago Public Schools. I thought that was a strange way to handle a customer's problem.

Also. my doors look terrible. See for yourself. (I did ALL the doors in the house). There is a clear comprehensive problem here.

The SW rep also said it was important that the doors be given 30 days to cure and I should effectively not use them for 1 month This was frustrating because
1. No one told me this to start and
2. My house has been upside down because we're not using the closets in order to give the product time to set uninterrupted.

Had I known all of this, I would have left doors white.

I agreed to this plan because it was the plan offered by the SW rep. The painter was supposed to come this morning to fix the doors but he has not shown up or contacted me. (He has not gotten paid for the doors but I did pay him for the completed wall work). He would be paid for the doors when finished.

Here is my question:Curious to hear what help might be available through through Sherwin Williams? I'm not asking about the painter; I'm asking about Sherwin Williams. Do they help customers in this situation? SW has a strong relationship with this painter but the painter is not an employee of SW.

This is the fireplace in our 1921 bungalow. The funny story behind this, which we were unaware of but were told by the neighbors, is that this fireplace was once painted white and the previous owner wanted it to match the brick exterior again. Rather than trying to strip it, which would have to be impossible, she painted it the colors of the exterior. It's a dead ringer, so much so that we would never have guessed.
