The 1917 studio of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney at the New York Studio School, in which we’ve placed works curated for our show “In Ruins” for . On the mantle of the bronze and plasterwork fireplace by Robert Winthrop Chanler sits “The Carpenter”, a 2024 sumi ink painting by ❤️
Opposite the fireplace, Emilio Terry’s 1937 “Topiary in the Shape of an Arched Monument”, offered by the Chinese Porcelain Company, hangs to the left of a 1960’s polaroid by the architect Carlo Mollino, offered by Salon 94. (detailed in images 3-4)
