🥔 Crispy Golden Potato Patties — Everyone Will Ask for Seconds! 😍
"Oh heavens, these were such a hit! All the grandkids wanted seconds and Grandpa ate three of them. Safe to say I’ll be making them again and again!" ❤️
These crispy, golden potato patties are soft and fluffy inside, beautifully browned and crispy outside, with herbs adding the perfect savory flavor. They’re an easy side dish the whole family will love!
🛒 Ingredients
4 large potatoes, peeled and boiled
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
½ cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried Italian herbs
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp olive oil
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Boil the potatoes until fork-tender, then drain and mash until smooth.
Add butter, egg, cheese, parsley, garlic powder, herbs, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Add the breadcrumbs gradually until the mixture is firm enough to shape.
Form the mixture into small thick oval patties.
Place them on a lightly greased baking sheet and brush the tops with olive oil.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20–25 minutes, turning once, until deeply golden and crispy.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. 🌿
💡 Tip: For extra-crispy edges, place the patties under the broiler for the final 2–3 minutes.
