2 West Water offers waterfront living with a private deep-water dock in the middle of Sag Harbor village — a rare combination of access and walkability in the Hamptons.

The architecture speaks to both conditions. Drawing from 300 years of history, the Roman brick facades facing the village recall the texture and feeling of past centuries. Dissolving into views across the cove, an architecture of structural glass, covered loggias, and expansive outdoor terraces invites light and landscape in.

Living here is an experience of spaces unfolding, from traditional rooms facing the village to open, loft-like spaces. Unlike any others in the Hamptons, these homes are an exercise in proportion and restraint that elevates life in every season and at every time of day.

Designed for good friends who love entertaining, this canyon crest Beverly Hills residence overlooks Malibu, the Pacific Ocean, and downtown Los Angeles. The architecture is choreographed to frame these views, with operable glass walls opening onto planted terraces and deep overhangs that extend living into the Southern California light and horizon beyond.

A restrained palette of natural stone, pale plaster, and warm woods is carried throughout the residence, seamlessly connecting interior and exterior spaces while celebrating the light, atmosphere, and views that define the home.

In the Palisades, our work follows the destruction caused by the fire.

We begin with what makes this place so special - the dramatic slope of the site, the expansive exposure it offers, and its horizon across the Pacific, the bay of Santa Monica, and downtown LA.

These are the essential qualities of this place – and they are remarkable in their simple poetry.

What do a house in Beverly Hills, a greenhouse complex in the Saudi Arabian desert, a Manhattan rooftop, and an oceanfront home in the Hamptons all have in common?

They each reposition our thinking about space, value, and performance within wildly divergent environments across the globe.

Please join us with Khoi Vo, President and CEO of ASID, and Dina Lamanna, Principal at HOK, as we examine these questions Tuesday at ICFF. Link in bio.

The light moving across the ocean horizon and the rugged landscape of a volcanic peninsula inform our thinking about the design of this residence at Point Hardy, Saint Lucia. An architecture of openness, gradually dissolving into the landscape.
