Strawberry Funnel Cake Recipe 🍓🍰
This Strawberry Funnel Cake is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with fresh strawberries, powdered sugar, and a drizzle of sweet strawberry sauce! Perfect for a fair-style treat at home!
🛒 Ingredients:
For the Funnel Cake Batter:
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup (240ml) milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp melted butter
3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Strawberry Topping:
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
For Garnishing:
Powdered sugar
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)
Strawberry syrup
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Make the Strawberry Topping:
In a saucepan, cook strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat until soft.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
2️⃣ Prepare the Funnel Cake Batter:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
3️⃣ Fry the Funnel Cakes:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
Pour batter into a squeeze bottle or funnel and drizzle into the oil in a spiral motion.
Fry for 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
4️⃣ Assemble the Funnel Cake:
Dust the funnel cakes with powdered sugar.
Top with the strawberry topping and a drizzle of strawberry syrup.
Add whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence!
