PIZZA BURGERS
🧾 Ingredients You’ll Need
For the Burger Patties
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pizza Toppings
1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
Pepperoni slices
Optional add-ins: chopped onions, olives, mushrooms, green peppers
For Assembly
4 burger buns
2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
Grated Parmesan (optional)
Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)
🍳 Step-by-Step Method to Make Pizza Burgers
1. Prepare the Seasoned Beef Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently—overmixing makes the patties tough.
Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties, slightly wider than your buns. This helps them stay the perfect size once they shrink during cooking.
2. Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Add the patties and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
During the last minute of cooking:
Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over each patty
Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella on top
Cover the pan to help the cheese melt completely
This creates the classic pizza-style cheesy topping right on the burger.
3. Toast the Buns
In a small pan or on the grill, melt a little butter.
Place the buns cut side down and toast until golden and lightly crispy.
For extra pizza flavor, sprinkle a little garlic powder or Parmesan cheese on the buns as they toast.
4. Build Your Pizza Burgers
Now comes the fun part—assembly!
Place the cheesy, sauce-coated burger patty on the bottom bun.
Add additional toppings like:
Pepperoni slices
Sautéed mushrooms
Caramelized onions
Olives or bell peppers
Top with another spoonful of warm marinara if you want an extra “pizza sauce” punch.
Finish with the top bun.
5. Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle grated Parmesan or a bit of chopped fresh basil on top.
Serve with:
Fries
A Caesar salad
Garlic bread wedges
Roasted veggies
And enjoy your fusion masterpiece!

Fried Spam Sandwich

Ingredients:
1 (12-ounce) can Spam, sliced
4 slices sandwich bread
2 tablespoons butter
2 slices American or cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 lettuce leaves (optional)
2 tomato slices (optional)

Instructions:
Slice the Spam into 1/4-inch thick slices. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the Spam slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned and slightly crispy on the edges. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place the bread butter-side down in the skillet and lightly toast until golden. Flip and toast the other side if desired.

Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of the toasted bread. Place the fried Spam slices on one slice of bread. Add cheese on top of the hot Spam so it begins to melt.

Add lettuce and tomato if using, then top with the second slice of bread.

Serve warm for a crispy, savory sandwich that’s simple, hearty, and full of old-school comfort.

Fried Chicken Livers

Ingredients:
1 pound chicken livers, cleaned and trimmed
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:
Rinse the chicken livers under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove any connective tissue if needed. Place the livers in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to tenderize and mellow the flavor.

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne if using.

Remove the livers from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge them in the flour mixture, pressing gently so the coating adheres well. Place on a plate and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F. Fry the livers in batches for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and cooked through but still tender inside. Avoid overcooking to keep them from becoming tough.

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt while hot.

Serve warm with hot sauce, mashed potatoes, or white gravy for a classic Southern comfort dish.

Chicken Gizzards

Ingredients:
1 pound chicken gizzards, cleaned
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:
Rinse the chicken gizzards under cold water and trim away any excess fat or gristle. Place them in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.

Place the cooked gizzards in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let soak for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and add flavor.

In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne if using.

Remove the gizzards from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture, pressing gently so the coating sticks well. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F. Fry the gizzards in batches for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt while still hot.
