Caramelized Banana Cheesecake with Sticky Glaze
🚨 WARNING: This cheesecake is dangerously addictive! 🚨 Creamy, dreamy banana-infused cheesecake topped with sticky, caramelized bananas and a rich glaze—this is next-level dessert HEAVEN! 🍌🔥
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
6 tbsp butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling:
2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 medium banana)
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cornstarch
Caramelized Banana Topping:
2 tbsp butter
¼ cup brown sugar
2 ripe bananas, sliced
1 tsp vanilla extract
Sticky Glaze:
¼ cup maple syrup or honey
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp heavy cream
Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2️⃣ Make the crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then let cool.
3️⃣ Prepare the filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in mashed banana, sour cream, vanilla, and cornstarch until creamy.
4️⃣ Pour filling over crust and bake for 45-50 minutes until just set. Cool completely, then chill for at least 4 hours.
5️⃣ Caramelize the bananas: Melt butter and brown sugar in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden. Stir in vanilla and remove from heat.
6️⃣ Make the glaze: In a small saucepan, heat maple syrup (or honey), butter, and heavy cream until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
7️⃣ Assemble: Top cheesecake with caramelized bananas and drizzle with the sticky glaze.
