🥐 Spinach Stuffed Pastry – Buttery, Cheesy & Delicious!
Flaky puff pastry filled with savory spinach and creamy cheese—the perfect snack, appetizer, or side dish! 🌿🧀✨
🛒 Ingredients:
For the Filling:
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped (or ¾ cup frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry)
½ cup ricotta cheese (or feta for a tangier flavor)
¼ cup shredded mozzarella (or Parmesan for extra richness)
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
For the Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Black pepper, to taste
📌 Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
3️⃣ Assemble the Pastries
Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares or rectangles.
Spoon a small amount of filling onto the center of each piece.
Fold the pastry over and seal the edges using a fork.
4️⃣ Egg Wash & Bake
Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Place on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
