New York real estate VS Covid-19 – How is the pandemic affecting the market? We want to provide our followers with a truthful and straight forward update. Because of how new this is, we can’t speak for the industry as a whole, but we can speak for our own experience – and things have certainly slowed down. More and more renters are opting to renew their leases in order to avoid going on apartment showings. A majority of buyers are pausing their search until things improve. Landlords are practicing their compassion by pulling back on evictions for the next three months. The uncertainty of what exactly we are dealing with is the main reason behind this slow down. In the long run, we are projecting little affect to the market. For now, with interest rates dropping rapidly, there are diligent buyers taking full advantage and putting in those offers. As real estate brokers we know that the show must go on! We are doing our part in controlling the spread by providing open house goers with hand sanitizer, disposable gloves and keeping a distance of at least 6 feet at all times. Let’s all continue to take precautions, stay safe and make smart decisions. Any questions for us? Let us know in the comments below! Written by:
