Looking for a delicious and easy side dish? These Crack Green Beans are packed with flavor and perfect for any meal! 🥗🥓✨
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans
4 slices of bacon, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Directions:
1. First, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to get it nice and hot.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fresh green beans for about 3 minutes. Once they're bright green and just tender, drain them and plunge them into an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
3. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until it gets crispy. Once it reaches that perfect crunch, remove the bacon and set it aside, but don’t toss those drippings—they add tons of flavor!
4. In the same skillet, drizzle in the olive oil, then add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about a minute until your kitchen smells amazing.
5. Toss the blanched green beans into the skillet, stirring to coat them in all that garlicky goodness. Season generously with salt and pepper.
6. Transfer everything to a baking dish and pop it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. You want the beans tender with a nice char.
7. When they’re out of the oven, serve the green beans topped with the crispy bacon and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if you’re feeling extra indulgent.
Enjoy this tasty side that pairs beautifully with just about anything!
