25 years ago, our city changed forever.
We remember the lives lost. The families forever changed. The first responders who ran toward what everyone else was running from. The strangers who became family.
September 11th showed us unimaginable darkness. But in the days that followed, we also saw something extraordinary: people showing up for one another with open arms & immeasurable love.
�In the darkest moments, look for the light. Look for the helpers. The people who run in. The people who remind us what it means to belong to one another.
We would never wish for another September 11th. But 25 years later, the world could still learn something from September 12th. The unity, compassion, community, & feeling that no one had to carry their grief alone.
There is a spirit in New York that cannot be extinguished.
