Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf 🤤
A juicy twist on the iconic sandwich—loaded with melty cheese & sautéed peppers!
✅ Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 cup onion, diced
1 cup mushrooms, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional: 1 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2️⃣ In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion, bell pepper & mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat.
3️⃣ In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt & pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
4️⃣ Add half of the sautéed veggies and half of the cheeses into the meat mixture — fold together.
5️⃣ Transfer half the mixture to a loaf pan. Create a small trench in the center and fill with the remaining cheese.
6️⃣ Top with the remaining meat mixture and press evenly to seal the cheese inside.
7️⃣ Spoon a little extra ketchup or Worcestershire on top (optional).
8️⃣ Bake 50–60 minutes or until cooked through at 160°F (71°C).
9️⃣ Let rest 10 minutes before slicing so the cheese inside stays melty.
