Whenever I see red poinsettias, it feels like Christmas has truly begun. In this quilt, each flower is built from several shades of red, surrounded by green leaves and tiny berry branches. I love how the blocks feel familiar yet still have their own little personalities much like Christmas memories themselves: comforting, recognizable, but never exactly the same from year to year.

Some Christmas quilts are cheerful and playful, but this one feels a little different to me. It feels quiet, peaceful, and full of meaning. The two angels beneath the golden star make me think of hope, faith, and the calm beauty of Christmas night. I especially love how the deep blues slowly fade into icy winter shades around the church below it almost feels like the whole scene is glowing under the stars.

I just finished these two little bird pouches, and I really love the red, green, and cream color palette. The holly, snowflakes, and pieced wings give them such a festive feel without being too busy. Sitting side by side, they look like two little friends in the sewing room.
