A new destination for sport in Lower Manhattan.

BKSK designed the Hudson River Tennis Club at 300 Vesey Street as a 60,000 sf space where performance and hospitality meet.

With four indoor tennis courts, a fitness center, and a members’ lounge, the space is organized for a natural flow—promoting activity, relaxation, and socialization. Sightlines across the courts keep the energy visible, whether you’re playing or watching.

From construction to the Met Gala spotlight!

Designed by BKSK, this custom spiral staircase at The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, became a defining backdrop for some, during this year’s Met Gala. Located within the signature duplex penthouse, the sculptural stair connects two levels while serving as the residence’s architectural centerpiece — designed to create a sense of movement, drama, and arrival.

BKSK led the comprehensive renovation and rebranding of the historic 1926 landmark, restoring the building’s exterior character while reimagining the interiors and residences for contemporary luxury living.

Spotted on Kendall Jenner’s IG, this is a moment where architecture, hospitality, and fashion converged.

Always great having the next generation on site. Last week, the BKSK team and City Tech Architecture Pre-Interns toured 140 Jane Street—an in-progress West Village residential project blending modern amenities with classic neighborhood character, and got a firsthand look at the work unfolding on site. Completion is set for Winter 2026. More to come as the project progresses.

Join BKSK on Sunday, May 3 for this year’s Jane’s Walk NYC, organized by the The Municipal Art Society of New York.

This guided walk explores two BKSK projects surrounding Union Square Park. The first stop, 44 Union Square, is the reimagined Tammany Hall building, now home to a flagship Petco store. The second, The Twenty-Two New York, marks the first U.S. outpost of a London-based boutique hotel and social club, set within a transformed former Ladies’ Mile dormitory building.

We’ve been touched to hear recollections and memories from former campers, afterschool participants and neighbors as we present the design of the new Goodhue Center to the community. This project for Children’s Aid, will continue the legacy of afterschool programs and summer camp activities that have served generations of Staten Islanders, since 1912. Designed to highlight the natural features of the site, the building will support the mission of the Goodhue Center - to provide hands on experiences that build confidence and connection.

The Center for Fiction featured in AIA Brooklyn NOW!

Brooklyn NOW! is a public exhibition and digital platform showcasing the people, projects, and ideas shaping Brooklyn’s built environment today. Presented by AIA Brooklyn, it features an exhibition at the Brooklyn Public Library alongside public programs that connect audiences with designers and community voices.

Selected for inclusion, The Center for Fiction is the only U.S. organization dedicated solely to fiction. Now located in Downtown Brooklyn, its 17,000-square-foot headquarters includes a 100,000-title circulating collection, bookstore, café, auditorium, writer’s studio, and more.

Designed by BKSK, the space blends books, art, and warm, historic-inspired materials to create an inviting “third place” for readers and writers. The project is LEED Gold certified.

Introducing The Sixth at 127 Kent Avenue—our latest project shaping North 6th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Rooted in the neighborhood’s character, the design brings proportion, material restraint, and urban continuity into a contemporary residential experience.

The façade reflects Williamsburg’s industrial past with thoughtful proportions and a tactile material palette, while interiors focus on natural light, clear plans, and enduring materials for everyday livability.

Steps from Domino Park and the East River, The Sixth balances the energy of North Williamsburg with a composed, quietly refined presence.

The BKSK team recently took a field trip to Tammany Hall to see the building’s restoration, expansion, and rooftop dome addition up close. Designed by BKSK and completed in 2021, the project is a thoughtful example of how contemporary design can build on a historic structure.

Seeing projects in person is always a reminder of how much there is to learn from the built environment—and a good reason to step away from the studio.
