Here are a few fresh ideas for Thanksgiving décor this year. Have you tried using any natural elements to decorate? It’s the right time. Small pumpkins, dry flowers in small vessels, and pine cones make your Thanksgiving table look elegant. Here are some simple rules to help you accessorize your room easily. You can go with either symmetrical or asymmetrical groups. Symmetrical groups consist of identical decorative objects, placed together or divided into groups, mirroring each other. For instance, these can be identical candles. Asymmetrical groups combine the objects that are not alike but have something in common, like color or style. These can be glass vases of different height and color, in a group of three. Both ways work great, just make sure you keep the balance. One more solution for creating the groups of accessories is to put them into a grouping object like a plate, a bowl, a vase, a frame, or even a shelf. Pick up the accessories that match color of drapery or cushions to create a design rhythm.

Drapes are available in a variety of styles so select those that suit the windows and the room style. Use classic double panels for creating symmetry in larger spaces. In smaller rooms give advantage to single panels. Curtains occupy a large amount of visual space so it is important to carefully select fabric color or pattern to match your interior design. Linen is a hypoallergenic, long-wearing and eco-friendly fabric, it looks simple and elegant, and it matches almost any interior design style. Curtains made from linen work great in the kitchen, in the bedroom and in the living room. With linen curtains you don’t need any fancy decorations because the fabric texture looks gorgeous as is. However, there are some complications that you should consider if you want to use linen window treatments at home. First, it is more expensive than a synthetic drapery, and if you want to have beautiful heavy folds that look so stylish in linen drapes, you will need to add an extra width. Also, linen may shrink after laundering so make sure you choose a proper temperature regime and washing mode. Do not bleach the linen drapery, use a delicate detergent instead. Looks a little bit tricky? Yes, but with proper care linen drapes will look great even after a long period of time.

The same effect can be achieved by adding mirrors to the window reveals. A fresh idea for the kitchen cabinets: paint inner walls into some bright color, contrast to the main color. If you are a fan of wallpapers but you don’t know how to fit in an accent wall or which pattern to choose for your decor, these tips are for you…
• Use wallpapers with geometric print if you want to adjust proportions, especially in small rooms. It will add depth and extra volume.
• A non-standard solution is to put the printed wallpaper on the door to hide it, and the room will look bigger.
• If you want to use a bright pattern, but you are afraid to get bored quickly, put it on one wall as an accent and use monochrome wallpapers of the same color on other walls of the room.
