Our story began last year with a round of mini golf that ended in a perfect tie. Neither of us wanted the night to end, so we played a second round, went out to dinner, and have barely spent a week apart since. Ryan serves as a Chief Warrant Officer Three in the U.S. Army Airborne, and the dedication he shows to his country is the same love and commitment he brings to our relationship every single day.
We recently took the exciting step of buying our very first home together, and our family feels complete with how beautifully Ryan fits into it. He has completely won over everyone…from bonding over plants with my sister and giving my dad some long-awaited male company, to melting my grandmother’s heart with Christmas light tours and Valentine’s Day dates. He is officially one of Pippa’s “favorite children,” and we cannot wait to start this next chapter of our lives with all of you!

Our hearts were so full from the 17 years of love June Sailor blessed us with, we opened our hearts and welcomed home to another puppy. Best of all? Posey was born on Sailor’s birthday, April 21st. 💕🎀

Over the past week, I have been overwhelmed by the love you’ve shown for our sweet June Sailor.

Thank you to everyone who has sent a message, flowers, shared a memory, told us a story, or dug through years of photos to send us pictures of her. Seeing Sailor through your eyes has been one of the greatest gifts during the hardest week of our lives.

I miss her more than I can put into words. It still feels hard to breathe without her here. I still reach for her, hear the pitter patter of her paws outside my studio (especially around snack time), or see her out of the corner of my eye. But every story reminds me that she wasn’t just deeply loved by our family - she somehow found a way to leave little pieces of herself with so many other people, too.

Thank you for loving her with us. Knowing how many lives she touched has brought us comfort when we needed it most.

We miss you every second, Sailor. 🤍
