🍯 Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookies 🍪
Ingredients:
• 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
• 3/4 cup soft caramel bits (or chopped caramels)
• Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions:
In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chunks and caramel bits.
Chill dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
Scoop dough balls (about 2 tbsp each) onto trays, spacing them apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden on the edges and soft in the center.
Sprinkle flaky sea salt right after baking.
Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Tips:
• Do not overbake — cookies stay soft and chewy 🍪
• Use soft caramel bits for extra gooey texture 🍯
• Chill dough longer for thick bakery-style cookies
• Add chopped pecans for crunch 🌰
• Best served warm with milk or coffee ☕
• Store in an airtight container up to 5 days
