There is no experience necessary to paint pottery. We use the top of line pottery paint, to insure a beautiful finished product. We have idea books, stencils, etc to make this a fun and relaxing time. We have painters 2-92, and there is something for every age! I started my Happy Art adventure the summer of 2016, in Wilsonville, Oregon. When my lease was up for renewal, it forced me to evaluate my future. I came up with opening a studio at my home, for my semi-retirement! The new studio is located in Newberg. It is a quiet spot in the country, and well worth the drive. Since our new site is much smaller than before, we highly recommend calling to save a table. Typically we allow about 2 hours to complete your project, however if nobody has reservations for your table, you are always welcome to stay as long as you would like to finish it. The other option is to take it home, and return anytime. Our process to Easy.... first you pick out your piece, then we explain the glazes and techniques, your choose your colors, and the fun begins! Design, Paint & Create. Once your are finished, we glaze and kiln fire your pottery. Usually it will be ready for pick up in 4-6 days. If you choose a food item, once it is fired it will be dishwasher, microwave and food safe. Walk-ins are always welcome Wednesday-Fridays. Saturdays are reservations only. If there are no reservations, we will consider it a Family Day and be Closed. Therefore if you are pick-up or dropping off pottery on Saturdays, please call first. Also, if our painters go home one hour before our closing time, we close up shop. Open Sundays too thru Christmas! We love to celebrate birthdays with you! Since our location have seating for 16, you will more than likely have the studio to yourself. Our birthday time slots are Wednesday - Friday 11:00-5:30 or Saturday mornings 10:30-12:00. Another option for other times, is a Painting Party in a Box, which we can put together for you, and you can have your party anywhere!
