I am going to make this announcement once and once only. I also put this on my personal page.
I love that I have people wanting to order things from me and support me while I work on fully reopening my business and get back to where I was, but there are things I will NOT and SHOULD not, as a small business owner, have to put up with.
1) Prices on materials are increasing, therefore my prices have increased and just like any other other business I have to make a profit. If I tell you that something costs a certain price, that means it costs that price and you’re not going to bully me into paying less because I break down how much the material costs. I shouldn’t even have to tell you why I’m charging the way I am. If you don’t like the price, find someone else to make it for you. My prices are the way that they are because I want to be a successful business and I need to make a profit on the items I make. I deserve to be paid for my time.
2) Don’t order something from me and expect me to make it for you and ship it to you before you pay for it. I now have 1 entire order completed that the person has not paid for($100 worth) and I can’t resell it because it’s specific to them so I have now wasted $100 and the person can’t even be respectful enough to apologize and offer to make a payment arrangement or anything on it. I also have another order that was made and thankfully I didn’t actually make the order because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sell that either so from now on if you’re going to order something from me and I write up and email you an invoice you will be charged $5 for every 7 days that invoice sits unpaid. I do not want to be that person but people ordering things and not paying for them is making me that person, especially when I can’t sell them.
3) I will no longer be running sales until I can get my business back up and running fully so for right now everything will be full price and I hope everyone can understand that. I will be adding more customizable options to my already growing inventory and will be starting to get an inventory book going with the items I already have available. I’m still currently only doing made-to-order orders but eventually I will be starting an inventory that you can buy and have it shipped the next day so that you get it within 2-3 days.
